Tinubu Shines at AFRIMA
Like school children, many flocked around the man who is known as the Jagaban to get a handshake or a pat from him.  His arrival caused a buzz that not a few wondered if the occasion was about him. The awards which recognised and celebrates the rich African cultural heritage through music and arts honoured Tinubu as the Pillar of Arts and Culture in Africa. As he was called on stage to receive the award, the hall erupted with loud cheers of Jagaban.
Many stood up for the man whose political ambition is revered. He showed his humour side when he started his speech with ‘First of all’ a lingo that was made popular by the singer Olamide. He went on to wax lyrical by saying ‘I know you believe in what I believe’ while commending the organisers for showcasing the continent in a colourful diversity of talents.
Just as he arrived amidst fanfare, his departure was no different. Many followed him out hoping to be blessed by his Midas touch
